Chris Waller is set to dominate the running of the 2015 Eagle Farm Cup after including five of his stable’s stars in the seven horse final field, including Foreteller, Moriarty and Index Linked.

A three-time Group 1 winner, Foreteller is yet to hit peak condition this time but is sure to lay a great account for himself in the Eagle Farm Cup from barrier 2.

Finishing mid-pack in several major autumn races, the Dansili gelding ran fourth in the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes (1800m) and sixth in the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2000m) most recently.

The winner of the 2014 edition of the Eagle Farm Cup, Moriarty looks as though he will receive the run of the race on Saturday from the rails draw and with Blake Shinn aboard.

Posting thirteen wins and as many minors over his 55 start career so far, the Clodovil gelding has contested the same path as Foreteller in Queensland; running tenth in the Hollindale Stakes and a close fourth in the Doomben Cup on May 9th.

Index Linked has returned to racing in exceptional condition this time and will carry winning form into the 2015 Eagle Farm Cup after taking out the Listed Caloundra Cup (2400m) on the Sunshine Coast a fortnight ago.

Confirmed to have his eleventh start this time in the Eagle Farm Cup, the son of Dansili ran fifth in the Group 3 JRA Plate (2000m) and second in the Group 3 Chairman’s Handicap (2200m) leading into his most recent success.

Epingle has proven she is more than capable of black type success this time, has been confirmed to be partnered by leading hoop Hugh Bowman and is weighted well for success in the 2015 Eagle Farm Cup at 57kgs.

Securing six wins and a further 13 minors over 34 career starts so far, the Pins mare beat only one runner home in the Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) first-up on March 14th but caused a huge boilover when winning the Chairman’s Handicap as a $21 outsider on April 25th.

While failing to make much of an impact in the Doomben Cup last start, Epingle is sure to figure well from barrier 5.

Kiwi raider Werther will carry only 55.kgs in the 2015 Eagle Farm Cup and is sure to be offered a gem of a ride from leading hoop James McDonald.
