The Fast ‘N’ Famous mare survived a protest from Manighar’s jockey, Brad Rawiller, who alleged that Quintessential caused interference on two occasions during the race.

Quintessential has now won six of her 21 race starts and has earned more than $715,000 in prize money during her horse racing career.

Trainer John Sargent was over the moon with Quintessential’s exception success in Brisbane.

“She grows a leg here and is a great little fighter,” Sargent said.

Quintessentail will now go on towards the Group 2 Brisbane Cup at Eagle Farm racecourse this weekend.

”She has only had two gallops in the past three weeks and that will just top her off,” Sargent said.

”I don’t think she needs the wet track, she has won a big race at home on rock-hard ground, it just doesn’t affect her as much.”

Jockey Damian Browne was aboard Quintessential for Saturday’s 2013 Eagle Farm Cup win.

”She’s all heart,” Browne said.

”Gee, she showed some fight. She’s all guts.”
