The Group 2 Eagle Farm Cup is set to take place at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday June 2, 2012.
Run over a distance of 2,200 metres, the 2012 Eagle Farm Cup takes place weight-for-age conditions.
The 2012 Eagle Farm Cup is worth $250,000 in prize money and is open to horses aged three-years-old and upwards.
Held on the Queensland Oaks Day, the 2012 Eagle Farm Cup shares its program with the Group 1 Queensland Oaks, Group 2 QTC Cup, Group 2 Dane Ripper Quality, Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes, Listed Daybreak Lover and Listed Spear Chief Handicap.
Shez Sinsational will be aimed at the 2012 Eagle Farm Cup after winning the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes at the Gold Coast last weekend.
”She was left a sitting duck and was able to hang on. I’m very proud of her,” trainer Allan Sharrock said.
“She’s won in ground she doesn’t like.”
Shez Sinsational will first run in the Group 1 Doomben Cup on May 19, 2012, before having her 2012 Eagle Farm Cup start.
”I think she’s a very good horse and we’ll press on to the Doomben Cup now,” Sharrock said.
”She’ll head home after the three races and I think she’s good enough to look at the Kelt Stakes in October.’
